The online poker market in New Jersey responded in a grand way after a disastrous September. As per figures, posted Friday by New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, the two poker operators of the state – WSOP/888 and Party/Borgata – generated US$ 1913403 in gross gaming profit, which is significantly above all-time low registered in September.
In another uplifting data, year-on-year profit was down less than in any other month in the year 2015, and not by an unimportant margin. Compared to 2014s October, profit went down only 2.8 percent, while prior to previous month, the smallest decline of 2015 came back in May, when yearly profit was down 10.4 percent.
New Jerseys online casino arm put forward another great performance, rendering just a shade less than eleven million dollar. That data point represents a humongous 45.7 percent year-on-year increase, and a 6.8 percent improvement over previous month. The rare combo of growth in both poker as well as casino motivated the industry to its 2nd biggest monthly profit total (US$ 12863935) since going live in 2013s November.
Evaluating by last years trend, it seems as though October would be a bad month for online poker in New Jersey. From 2014s September to 2014s October, online poker profit fell 5.6 percent, and even more on a relative scale, as October is one day longer than September. Compared to that, from Sep. to Oct. this year, profit went up 8 percent – representing a 13.6 percent swing toward the positive.
