Michael Binger made news when he finished third place in 2006 Main Event of World Series of Poker.


When he participated in the Main Event of WSOP in 2014 it was felt that he was probably trying to make up for the attempt that had nearly gotten him the title the first time. Indeed, to become part of the final table it is an achievement and his second opportunity was definitely not only luck but dedication on his part as well. In the 2014 championship, he was holding average stacks. There were about 6600 people who had entered the Main Event. Hailing from Las Vegas, this resident is considered one of the best players in the mixed game categories. He is known to attempt the Rio Convention Center poker event every summer with the hopes of winning a bracelet. The Commerce Casino in Los Angeles is all set to host The L.A. Poker Classic.


The 60-tournament series is all the way to start soon. The event will open with an ambitious $100,000 guarantee. It will have just a $175 buy-in. The turnout of the event is big and it has crushed the expectation of many with the number of players participating in are 1,079 players. It will create the prize pool of $161,850.

The tournament series will begin on the 13 of January and will continue till 1 of March 2017. In the entire series, it is expected that the action will stay hot.

The highlights of the tournament include the exclusive tournament of Commerce $175 all-in or tournament ‘fold bounty’. The clock heads-up tournament $570 and no-limit hold’em tournament $1,100. The no-limit hold’em tournament $1,100 will have $1 million guarantee and four starting days.

The Thanksgiving weekend has been a quiet one as the MCOP came to a close and the other events like Pokerfest Romania about to begin from 1st of December.


PokerStars has been busy, increasing its online operations by setting up a country based operations in Bulgaria and Portugal. For those who are looking forward to knowing what they can expect in the upcoming year, the PokerStars live tournament schedule has been released, allowing the poker fans and players to play their games accordingly.

PokerStars have unveiled a festival schedule as well as a championship event schedule for the upcoming year. These are events that would be held in the first half of the year. Popular tours were announced by PokerStars in the month of August. These include the European Poker Tour that would be part of the Festivals and Championships. The online poker market in New Jersey responded in a grand way after a disastrous September. As per figures, posted Friday by New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, the two poker operators of the state – WSOP/888 and Party/Borgata – generated US$ 1913403 in gross gaming profit, which is significantly above all-time low registered in September.
In another uplifting data, year-on-year profit was down less than in any other month in the year 2015, and not by an unimportant margin. Compared to 2014s October, profit went down only 2.8 percent, while prior to previous month, the smallest decline of 2015 came back in May, when yearly profit was down 10.4 percent. (more…)

There were fifteen players who started the fifth day game of Monte-Carlo Casino EPT and PokerStars Grand Finale 2015 Event, yet before the night’s over was down to the last six players.
