Michael Binger

Michael Binger is a part time professional poker player who has played at tournaments quite a number of times at tournaments and has earned a decent set of earnings. He was born on December 20th, 1976 at Delray Beach in Florida and is currently based in Atherton in California. He also has a brother called Nick Bringer who has also tried his hand at various high paying tournaments and won a good decent amount of cash. He is a graduate from North Carolina state university and has completed his PhD from Stanford in Theoretical physics. As he was getting his PhD, he decided to enroll for the 2006 World Series of Poker tournament. This was the turning point in his life and he shot to fame after finishing third and winning a pot of 4.12 million dollars. However this was not the first time he played poker. He also managed to reach the final table in the previous year and eventually ended up at the sixth position.

Michael Binger has had a number of tournaments where he finished in with the money and it counts to around 23 till date. He also has 6 finishes at the World Poker Tour event. HE tied with Phil Hellmuth at the 2007 World Series of Poker tournament for being the second highest player with the cash finishes. The benefits of this were being allowed to appear at Event 22 which is a no limit Texas Hold’em poker game with a buy in of 5000 dollars. He also went on to win the 2008 World Series of Poker Circuit and ended with a total earning of one hundred and eighty one thousand dollars. The event was held at Lake Tahoe and was called the 5 thousand dollar Championship.

Michael Binger has a total of around 6.5 million dollars as his tournament winnings and more than half of it has come just from the World Series of Poker tournaments. He is nicknamed as the Machine due to his mechanical and calculative approach to the game. Although he has never ever won a single bracelet, he has still managed to gather a great number of fans due to his skilled play. People feel that his impressive performance and game play is mainly attributed due to his brilliant abilities in physics. Most of his fans feel that he has the ability to read the odds of his loss or win and even can read the odds of efficiency of the other players as well, making him a seasoned and skilled poker player.
